My art training includes life drawing at Chelsea Art College, colour study under Marian Bohusz-Schisko and Fine Art Appreciation and Practice, Farnham Art College (BA Hons), 1991-96. I am motivated by paint, and I experiment quite a lot in trying to get the best out of it, when working on images that I find fascinating and which I want to express in my own way. Much of my work is based on landscape, including ‘cosmic landscape', having studied NASA and Hubble images. I abstract from these and others on which I wish to base paintings, usually interpreted pretty loosely. Most of the paintings are in oil on canvas, but some are on wood panel using gesso, varnish etc. I also work on paper with tempera. Some of the larger paintings may be more suited to the corporate environment, typically being 3 or 4 foot square (90 or 120 cm.), and some are larger still e.g Spinfinity 5 x 8 feet (150 x 240 cm). Some paintings are in private homes, but not necessarily with large wall space. Exhibitions
